We visited several pediatric dentists in the Portland area before we came to see Dr. Brandon. My daughter who is very sensitive refused to allow any dentist to work on her teeth. Dr. Brandon and his staff won me over right away but I didn't think they would win my daughter over. WOW! Was I wrong. Not only was Dr. Brandon able to clean and examine her teeth on the first visit but he has gone on to perform extensive corrective treatment on her teeth. She goes to Dr. Brandon's office with confidence knowing she is in control and that she will be treated with respect and care.
Dr. Brandon's office is clean, his staff is terrific and appointments and always right on time. My kids and I LOVE Dr. Brandon and would like to thank him for everything.

In the past, my son Alex, had been nervous to go to the dentist, but from the second he walked into Dr. Brandon's office he was at ease. Everyone is so warm and reassuring, plus the office is so "exciting" with the surfboard, movies, and prize machine. Alex was even excited to have his apparatus (orthodontic appliance) placed. Dr. Brandon explained the procedure to him and answered all of his questions (including mine!). Alex's smile is fantastic and best of all, he likes going to the dentist.

It is my great pleasure to have the opportunity to express my views on the experiences my family has had with Dr. Brandon Schwindt and his staff. After having had a lapse in my insurance coverage for some years, we were referred to Dr. Brandon in the midst of a dental emergency. My son, Zane, had developed quite a severe cavity. Immediately I was impressed with the urgency and direct professional matter in which we were dealt with. Zane's comfort and safety were at the forefront of each and every step of the procedure at hand. The extraction was perfect and Zane was quickly on his way to feeling better.
Since that time, my job has afforded us stable dental coverage and we have returned to Dr. Brandon seeking that same quality level of care and concern. Over the past year Dr. Brandon has helped us to construct and maintain a successful treatment plan. My son is brushing and flossing correctly, experiencing no new cavities, and always excited to return for check-ups! Moreover, the standard of care at Dr. Brandon's is supplemented by superior hygienists, the most friendly and personable reception/counter staff I have ever encountered, and a fun and kid-friendly atmosphere. "Three, two, one....Dr. Brandon!!" The kids shout, in deafening tones. You can count on it…they never forget! Every time we pass your office, the kids squeal with delight.
If I had known my kids were going to be so excited to see the dentist, I would have started their visits years ago. Now I actually find myself having to make excuses about why we aren't going to Dr. Brandon's today or why we aren't going to stop by to see what treats you have now, or why we haven't invited Dr. Brandon to dinner yet.
With two kids, ages 4 and 6, both never having had visited the dentist, I was dreading the "first visit". We explained to the kids what to expect, watched a Bernstein Bears video at home and did what we could to prepare. If I had only known how they were going to react...I could have saved myself the effort. From our very first encounter, it was clear that this wasn't any ordinary office, my kids and I we're hooked. You made us all feel so welcome and comfortable, right from the start. I nearly fell out of my chair when Dr. Brandon personally called the night before our appointment to see if I had any concerns about tomorrows visit. I remember sort of laughing to myself thinking, you've got to be kidding me - a doctor calling me a home, taking time out of his schedule to see what I'm worried about…WOW, I can't wait to meet this guy.
My children were greeted when we checked in, and why not - they were the patients…not me. I was the co-pilot of this adventure and the kids were in charge! THEY were the patients, THEY were everyone's focus. From the person who checked us in, to the hygienist who came to escort us to the exam room, my kids were the primary focus and the ones they all addressed, not mom. (Until it was time for the "cavity news of course") It was great! Dr. Brandon and his staff understand that children comprehend a great deal - and that when you communicate directly with them, and empower them to communicate back - everyone wins!
Then it was time to leave, at least I thought so…but my kids didn't want any part of it. They actually begged me to stay. "Please mom, please….just a little bit longer". So there I am, pleading with my children to leave, passing on the insurance information, when I spot the "thank you cards". On the counter, I see cards, signed by each staff member, and it hits me…these guys really get it. From start to finish, from the beginning experience the end, every call, every encounter, every person in the office…understands the importance of this experience…and they've got it RIGHT!
After having been to the office a couple of times now, it's clear it's not a fluke…it's like this all the time! Every visit. I have not hesitated to refer everyone I know to Dr. Brandon's office, and several of them have reported having the same experience we had.
In this day and age - it's rare to find someone so "service" or "experience" oriented…but Dr. Brandon and his staff are setting a new standard of excellence. I feel privileged to have my children being looked after by someone like Dr. Brandon!!
